1985 年神奈川県出身。 2010年眼の再生医学研究（虹彩色素上皮幹細胞の培養法確立）に従事。2012年京都大学医学部医学研究科でパーキンソン病に対する新規治療法の開発（ヒトiPS細胞由来ドパミン神経前駆細胞の作製法確立など）に従事。2014年日本学術振興会特別研究員。2017年京都大学iPS細胞研究所神経再生研究分野研究員に着任。同年に日本再生医療学会奨励賞を受賞。2019年セルプロジャパン株式会社代表取締役就任。2021年日本再生医療学会代議員。2022年日本再生医療学会培養士制度（上級培養士）認定。2023年株式会社Waqoo代表取締役就任。
